"Il Tridente" Restaurant is located on the Hotel Poseidon terrace which offers a breathtaking view of Positano, its colored houses, the sky and the sea.
The morning buffet breakfast
, famous amongst all of our new and returning guests, has a wide offer of fresh, locally sourced fruit and vegetables, a selection of meats and cheeses including fresh mozzarella and ricotta cheese, smoked salmon, Prosecco, oven-pizza or focaccia and exquisite home-made cakes and pies – other than the classic yoghurts, cereals and croissants.
All of this, together with the welcoming smiles of the team, the amazing views and the sun “which makes everything easier” (as we say here at the Poseidon), gives the guests the right “buongiorno!”.
Lunch and dinner, still served on the terrace, features the finest selection of fresh fish and meats, and include various types of homemade pasta and seasonal produce wisely cooked by the Chef Mr. Antonio Sorrentino and his team who love to honor the regional tradition
– one of the best in the world – and to put “the special touch” which makes “Il Tridente” one of the best Restaurants in Positano.
During the evening, the atmosphere is enhanced by the soft candles lighting up the tables and by the moon shining over the pool and bar area.
The wine cellar also offers a careful selection of Italian and international labels
, with a special focus on the Campania region, featuring local grape varieties which provide the perfect accompaniment to the harmonious flavors and aromas of this marvelous region.
The tables are accented by the famous “Vietri plates”: these are hand-painted ceramics with colorful designs, produced by the workshop “Ceramica Artistica Solimene” in Vietri sul Mare, a village on the Amalfi Coast.
There is a number of alternative options for guests with special requirements

The restaurant also accepts reservations made by parties not staying at the hotel.
