“Maybe it’s the music of the sea?”, so sang Sergio Bruni, one of the greatest interpreters of Neapolitan songs in the 1950s and  ’60s.  

Today, the tradition continues at the Poseidon, where, as you sit on the terrace overlooking the bay of Positano, you can sometimes really hear the sound of the sea from the beach below; in addition to that beguiling music evoking the sirens of Homer’s verse, who lived on the isle of Galli opposite Positano, almost every evening you can dine or sip a drink by candlelight to the accompaniment of top the worderful chords of a piano, the same piano touched by the artistic fingers of Poseidon guests such as Peppino di Capri, Joe Sentieri, Herbert Grönemeier and Carol King.  

The bar is centrally located overlooking the lounge with a beautiful fireplace on one side, and the piano, the terrace and the swimming pool on the other side.  

This is one of the hotel focal places: some shady areas to enjoy the fresh breeze, a sunbathing terrace with a swimming pool (10m x 5m), and quiet areas  to enjoy a moment of relaxation, a drink, meeting a person, an art exhibition or a literary show.
